Improvisation, Singing, Painting, Drawing, Creative Movement, Dramatization
MADD Camp is an intensive and fun-filled two-week arts and recreation program for 6-10 year olds. This camp is a collaboration between the Brattleboro Music Center and Neighborhood Schoolhouse.
Mornings are filled with a variety of fun and creative arts experiences. Our talented staff of experienced teachers, including Louisa Sullivan, Marya Huseby, Ann Lauterbach, and Robin Zegge, lead campers in age-specific music, art, dance and drama activities.
During the afternoon session campers explore the woods, experience nature and the environment, enjoy outdoor play, group games, and individual choice time that can include fantasy play or build on the more structured activities of the morning. A great deal of time in the afternoon sessions will be spent outdoors, in the woods, fields and gardens on which the Schoolhouse is situated. The afternoon session is lead by Neighborhood Schoolhouse faculty members Jen Manwell, Laura Goldblatt and Lisa Charkey.
MADD Camp culminates in music, drama and dance performances, as well as an exhibit of the campers’ artwork. Please plan to join us for this magical celebration on the last day of camp.
