THE COLOR OF MUSIC A Special Children’s Performance of the Windham Orchestra, Directed by Hugh Keelan Thursday, March 22, 2012, 9:30am, Latchis Theare, Brattleboro, VT
Featuring:
Color Linking the Visual Arts to Music Student artwork, with the common theme of “Color”, will be projected as the Orchestra demonstrates the use of color in music. This project is a collaboration between the Windham Orchestra and Arts Council of Windham County during Student Art Month.
Organ Symphony With remote Organ Transmittal The Orchestra will perform excerpts from Saint-Saëns’ Third Symphony. This is a symphony for orchestra, piano and organ, a rare symphonic instrument, that will be transmitted live from the Estey Organ in First Baptist Church on a movie screen!
17-Year-Old Pianist Dorian Elgers-Lo Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 1, featuring the winner of the Orchestra's 2012 Concerto Competition for Youth.
Windham County Schools $2 per seat/ Reserve space through your school.
