Windham Orchestra Invites All Musicians to an Open Rehearsal and Social with Director Hugh Keelan
On Monday, September 19, 7:15 pm at Oak Grove Elementary School in Brattleboro, the Windham Orchestra will hold a “Get Acquainted” rehearsal. The rehearsal is open to all area musicians to come and enjoy a little music making and social time with other musicians.
The Get Acquainted rehearsal will include an opportunity to meet and rehearse with Music Director Hugh Keelan and the amateur and professional musicians of the Windham Orchestra. For local musicians who would like to experience the feeling of playing with a large ensemble, this is an excellent opportunity to try out the Orchestra.
Mahler’s Symphony #1 will be rehearsed. Musicians are asked to RSVP by September 15, so that music will be ready for them, by email at

or by calling the Brattleboro Music Center at 802-257-4523. A warm welcome is extended to all musicians. No auditions are necessary. Come and enjoy a social evening of music making.
This fall, the Windham Orchestra is embarking on an exciting season with Music Director Hugh Keelan returning to the podium. Originally from England, Hugh received his training at Cambridge University, Indiana University, and the Mannes School of Music. He has been music director of the Erie Philharmonic and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic. The Orchestra, and BMC, feel fortunate to have a conductor of Hugh’s caliber to lead the orchestra and want to share the experience and opportunity with musicians and audience members throughout the region.
