With words taken directly from interviews with survivors of the Holocaust, Kaddish is an engaging, and inspiring new work for chorus, soloists and chamber orchestra by Lawrence Siegel. By singing the actual words of Holocaust survivors, Kaddish portrays the passionate story of the redemptive power of the simple virtues of daily living, and the triumph of the human spirit. Kaddish has been received to great acclaim since its premier in 2008, including a performance by the Houston Symphony in 2010 and an upcoming performance with the Jerusalem Symphony in November of 2012. The Brattleboro Concert Choir is honored to present this work destined to become a treasured landmark in the choral repertoire.
